We have just returned from a transatlantic cruise on the Azura & what a great time we had! The flight was good - Manchester to Barbados - unfortunately the plane seats are not so comfy, plenty of leg room but the sitting part of the seat is far too short, making it uncomfortable. Transfer from plane to ship (no immigration) was a delight. Embarkation was a breeze, everything done with happy faces & quick, painless precision. Cabin (R233 - deck 14, inside) was located with ease, out to Breakers Bar in no time at all! Luggage was delivered within 1.5 hours. Our cabin was kept very clean by Satish, a fantastic cabin steward, it was comfortable & had everything we would need, yes the carpets were stained here & there, but look how many people use them & not everyone is as careful with hotel rooms as others!

The dining rooms - were all very clean, tidy & bright, the staff were brilliant, very efficient & attentive, I did feel though, that because the wine waiters have gone, this puts added pressure on the other waiters, not that they don't cope with it, they do very well but they do not have time any more for the usual banter with the passengers, which I am sure is reciprocally missed. The buffet restaurants were always well looked after, clean, tidy, staff - again, very efficient, the only problems were some of the clientele.

We had an excellent meal in Sindhu & The Glasshouse, well worth a visit. All of the bars we went into were well kept & tidy. The theatre is superb but why do people not like sitting next to strangers? leaving odd gaps of seats in the middle of the rows, not very helpful when a lot of people are looking for a seat, it's ok to say that P & O should do something about it, my question is, when are people going to start taking responsibility themselves of being respectful to their fellow man, it doesn't take much! The other venues are just as spectacular - Malabar, Manhatten & The Planet. The entertainment was brilliant.

The bed was comfortable, set up as a queen size, as requested. Linens were changed every day. Beds were turned down every night, chocolate on pillow as well. Ice in cabin every day, tea, coffee, milk etc. replenished daily
