My boyfriend and I have travel on the Gem before in 2013 to Bahamas and it was perfect, now 2 years later Gem still meets high standards of Customer Satisfaction. The crew makes you want to be there and the food i see has changed a little but it was more variety of food this time which was so good. The thing i enjoy the most is karaoke at night in Bliss. The service on board was great. The only thing i don't like is the rock climbing is never open. I'm hoping when i come back on in May 2016 after the ship get done over it will be open.
This was my first time with a balcony and now i'm officially one those people that cant never go back to a regular room. There was plenty of space and the view was outstanding.
Embarkation went by very fast , which was good for me because it wasn't really a crowd. We were group number 5 to get on and the service agents were very kind and respectful with directing you to your seats.
Didn't do much here, but i took a short tour outside of the crusie line and paid $20 for my boyfriend and i. The tour took us to the forts and Old San Juan. After I went to Senor Frog which is a very popular spot for people coming off the ship. The prices seem too high though.
