Overall our cruise was excellent. Service was great. The Epic is not our favorite ship. We do not like how you are unable to walk completely around the ship. Our cabin steward, Jose, was excellent. Cagney's, French Restaurant, Teppanyaki were great. Italian -- bread with dipping olive oils were great -- but chicken parm tasted a bit off and lasagna a little dry. We ate breakfast every morning at Taste which was good. We had (2) lunches at Taste and we were disappointed in both of them. Menu changed and didn't like the choices as much. The first one was on day of boarding and I had the shrimp sandwich which was very processed. The last sea day, we had the meatball sandwich and the sandwich was missing the top of the bread. In fairness, we didn't say anything to server. We usually very much enjoy 2nd City. The night that we attended, the show was not very funny. Several people walked out during the performance. We stayed. Cruise director, Pedro, and staff were very good. The last time that we cruised the Epic, Susie was the Cruise Director. We never saw her until the very last day of a 7 day cruise. On every other ship and on this past cruise, you see the cruise director and staff numerous times throughout the day. Legends show was entertaining. Cleanliness of the ship was excellent. As always, we book our excursions through Norwegian. For all excursions, cruise staff did an excellent in making exiting of ship a very easy process -- very organized. Our first stop was Jamaica and we did the Dunn River Fall and VIP Bamboo Beach trip. Words of advise -- when climbing the Dunn River Fall -- do not take anything with you such as cell phones or sunglasses. We didn't take our cell but I lost my sunglasses. Our Tour Guide, Latoya, was very good. She very attentive. All drinks and food was served by her to our lounge chair.

Our second excursion in Grand Cayman -- Norwegian staff was organized, but Grand Cayman Tour Company was not as organized. We went to Tiki Beach. Beach was nice. We had lounge chairs -- hamburger/ hot dog/ salad lunch which wasn't bad. However, when we were trying to get the shuttle bus back to the ship -- very disorganized -- our time to meet was to be 1 pm -- we got to the meeting spot 5 to 10 minutes early -- and stood for probably half an hour waiting for transportation back to ship. When we finally got on the shuttle bus with people from a Carnival Ship also -- one of the guests had wet swim trunks and the bus driver told him that he would not be able to board the bus. An argument over this issue occurred and finally one of the other passengers gave the guy a towel to sit on and we proceeded. On the journey back to the ship, the bus driver had some friends or family on the bus and we did a pit stop through Burger King which was a little odd. Last excursion, was in Cozemal. We did the snorkel/paddle board excursion. We had a short instruction period. Once we got out, I tried standing and fell off and was told that I had to go back into shore by the guide. He said that his manager motioned to him that I had held my paddle in the wrong direction and it was unsafe. However, I would have moved my paddle position if I had known that this was the issue. I wasn't getting back up on the board because I was unable to, but just taking a break and enjoying the water. Overall, we had a wonderful trip and looking forward to our next cruise with Norwegian. The staff is what really makes Norwegian. The Epic is not our favorite Norwegian ship. We know that it is going to Europe shortly and into dry dock in September.

Our cabin was fine. It was clean. Bed was comfortable. Jose was great. A lot of people don't like the layout of the Epic cabin's, but we were fine with it.
