This was our third cruise, and the first on Oceana, which sailed from Southampton, calling at Lisbon, Cadiz, Gibraltar, Barcelona, Cannes and Livorno, flying us back to Manchester from Genoa after 10 nights on board.
Food was terrific in the main restaurants - we were allocated second sitting, which meant not getting out of the restaurant until around 10-30pm, so we asked to go on the first sitting, and this was arranged after five nights. The waiters were brilliant and the "Captains" wine pack of four bottles costing £65, proved to be great value and quality wine.
Entertainment was very good overall - the guest speaker talked about the murderer Dr Crippen but he was disjointed, his presentation poor, and he kept looking at his watch. The house bands were good, particularly "Superstition", a four piece doing a lot of blues numbers.
Excellent - for a cruise ship, quite large with huge window and two single beds fastened together to make a queen size
