We arrived at the port in Miami around 10:30AM and dropped our bags off with no problems. We walked into the terminal to check-in and there was no line whatsoever. The lady that checked us in definitely was not so friendly but I'm sure standing all day at work dealing with that many people probably isn't fun so we weren't bothered by that. We had to wait until 11:45 to board the ship. We were in this large room with not enough seats for everyone. People were sitting on the floor and standing all over. The photographer there told us it is rarely like that but the people from the cruise before us were not wanting to get off the ship so that is why there was such a delay.

Once we were on we went right to guest relations to purchase a pass for Posh. Even though we were there so early they told us they only have twenty available for purchase and they were already sold out. Oh well, lesson learned for next time to get there even earlier. We went up to the Garden Café for lunch. The food was really good and we were able to find a table outside like we wanted. We finished eating and by around 12:45 the staterooms were available.

We went to the stateroom and met our steward. He was so nice but I'll explain that in the cabin review. Our bags were delivered a short time later and we unpacked and put everything away. We were really surprised with how much storage there was. We went to the muster drill and that went smoothly. We immediately went up to deck 15 to watch us leave Miami. We were able to find lounge chairs with no problem. The only thing we didn't like as we left was the bar service. There is one bar on the pool deck near the Garden Café and it was so hard to get the bartenders' attention unless you happened to be a female. We ended up not going back to that bar the rest of the cruise so I can't say if that practice continued throughout the duration of the cruise.

Cabin Review

Inside

We had an inside cabin to save money. It is so much cheaper and it really isn't terrible. We slept with the "a view from the bridge" television station on and we woke up to sunrises each morning. The separate toilet and shower isn't bad at all. It actually gives you so much more space. The closet was huge and the there are shelves in the closet for extra storage. Our stateroom attendant was the best! He always greeted us by name and always had fresh ice for us in the ice bucket. We always came back to new towel animals each night too, we loved that.
