Took our 5th cruise (2nd with NCL) on the Getaway and booked it 6 months in advance and when we stepped foot on the ship we were NOT disappointed. From the room to the dining rooms , the promenade on deck 8 , the huge casino and the entertainment. Joel the cruise director and his assistant made our cruise as we won the Newlywed not so Newlywed Game and became minor celebrities thanks to my wife's answers to a particular question. If you get on board before Joel goes to the Escape ask him about it.

The ports were amazing on our particular route: St. Maarten , St. Thomas and the Bahamas. The waterpark at Atlantis is pricey but worth it I think , especially if you don't think you can get there again . The lines weren't too long , the weather was great and the lazy river ride was amazing. I was able to get on every ride except one because the line was too long and had to get back to the ship.

I had no complaints about anything on the ship except one small one: Cigarette smoking in the Cigar lounge...you can smoke cigarettes in a few places on this ship , but can only smoke cigars in one place , the lounge( I hate cigarette smoke). The food , staff , and ship are amazing. Would recommend this ship and NCL to anyone who wants to cruise.
