We looked forward with great anticipation to our cruise on the Royal. After all, we had chosen this cruise BECAUSE we wanted to experience the Royal. Our overall experience turned out to be an unenthusiastic 'Average"

There is no doubt that the Royal is a beautiful ship, and because it is the first of 3 new generation ships for Princess. Of course, there are some things they wish they had done differently. The staff at the Meet and Greet even said this.

There are the choke points in the design that slows traffic thru common areas. The 'not promenadable' Promenade Deck, the very small balconies, even in a Mini Suite, but these are not deficiencies that come close to ruining a cruise.

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Nice room but postage stamp size balcony. Emma did a great job.
