This was my first cruise. I was lucky enough to have earned a cruise for two through a holiday contest at work. This trip was well deserved as I worked my butt off to earn it. I decided to also bring along my 11 year old son since our family vacations usually consist of summers at the cottage, this was something different.

Our first couple of days were good, my son was either on the basketball court or swimming from the time his feet hit the floor until way too late at night. On our full last day at sea my son suffered from second degree burns on his hand from a set of tongs at the breakfast buffet. We seeked medical attention which they kindly treated him, bandaged him up and gave him some pain medication. The rest of our trip was not so great, he could no longer play basketball or swim, he was in a terrible mood. No follow up from anyone, nothing. I cannot believe this could happen to anyone from tongs especially an eleven year old kid. Once home he could not partake in his competative sports he is involved in or use his hand to write in school so I emailed the company. No response with that either.

No we did not wish to take any shore excursions. Thank you. We were not interested in any of the excursion. I'm not sure why we need to fill this part in.
