Overall, we rate this as an average cruise experience. The ship was clean; mini-suite is clean and nice; staff was friendly and helpful; the food was only average in the main dining room and absolutely atrocious in the Blue Lagoon and the Modern restaurants. The Garden buffet was average as well. We've been on several Carnival cruises and their food is far superior. I don't think they had a fresh tender hamburger bun anywhere on the ship, except for the chicken sliders. All of the restaurants are understaffed so expect to have an unacceptable wait for your meals unless you go to the buffet.

We took three of the ship sponsored tours of which only one (our Valencia Spain tour with a paella lunch was superb) was above average.

While the staff did the best job they could, it is clear that Norwegian is trying to maximize their income off this run. They are sorely understaffed in many areas; they are trying to sell you stuff at every turn; and they charge for everything above your room and your "freestyle" dining.
