Loved the ship, everything was beautiful, but it was very confusing with the dining. I would have preferred traditional dining experience I have been used to. I usually eat at least twice a cruise in the specialty restaurants just for a change. all said the ship was fabulous, but the crew seemed to be off kilter, I am so used to the Explorer and the exceptionally friendly staff, this crew just didn't seem to be enjoyable, a few I spoke to that once were on the Explorer explained it in a nutshell, this ship just doesn't have the unity and friendship I have had on other ships, the crew needs to bond a lot better. Hopefully when the Anthem gets here it will be better, I see they are changing the dining format, hope it will be better, I am already booked and looking forward to it. The old saying that change is good sometimes doesn't hold true, but I am an optimist. the entertainment was excellent, best I have seen in years, Mama Mia was fabulous.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D7

Cabin was spacious (accessible cabin), good location near elevator, quiet.

Port Reviews

Barbados

A very long walk from the ship to the terminal/shopping, the bus was a long wait, but not worth the time, a 10-13 minute walk, a long way, we didn't book any excursions.

San Juan

Been there numerous times, plenty to do, this time we went to San Cristobal fort to walk around on our own, The tour we signed up for didn't work out, the walking tour turned out to be a Bus ride to start to get to the fort (we were using a scooter because of a knee problem), no one on the ship's excursion dept knew about it.

Labadee

Easy on and easy off, no tender, it was enjoyable. the food was a just OK, a little rustic for me, I enjoyed the buffet back on the ship better. The crafts shopping was enjoyable, shopping with the locals was very nice, a little bargaining with the locals was nice.

St. Maarten

Plenty of shopping near the ship, the owner, 'Mac, remembered us when we walked in, we got a really good buy on a bracelet. Easy on and easy off, a very accessible port. Have been Downtown before, a 15-20 minute walk with a nice accessible sidewalk.

Bayonne (Cape Liberty)

Boarding process was easier than before, when the parking lots are finished it should be better. The check-in was fragmented, a lot of the passengers were just standing around looking for help, but everything went smoothly for us.
