This was my 4/5 Princess cruise and first on the Caribbean Princess. The cruise was the first time Princess disappointed my hubby and I. Overall, there was a general sense that they were cutting corners, service was not up to the standard we expected based on our past cruises. Of course, some employees were outstanding, thankfully our cabin steward was one of them. There were a few areas that need attention.

1. Shore Excursions: The desk personnel were not friendly nor did they seem empathetic to our concerns. The desk was never adequately staffed so line were long. The descriptions of the physical demands of the tours were not adequate and in one case, deceptive. They must improve this both online and in their printed materials so people can avoid injurious situations. We heard many complaints about Shore Excursions.

2. Guest Services Desk: We were celebrating my husband's birthday the day we boarded and I had advised Princess of this months in advance. It took 3 days and 4 trips to guest services to get any acknowledgement of his special day.

Port Reviews

St. Thomas

It was a rainy day so the folks who were on excursions like sailing or the Kontiki boat had a miserable time. We had to tender at St. Thomas so time was limited due to time spent standing in line for the tenders.
