My wife and I absolutely loved our Spring Break cruise to Key West, Freeport, and Nassau! Loved breakfast in the Lido deck, midday reading and relaxing on the Serenity Deck, and we had anytime dining, which took all the stress off the evening timetable. We did the pub crawl in Key West on St Patrick's Day, which was absolutely awesome! Ask for a guide named Zam who can be identified by his conch shell blowing expertise. He was informative and hilarious! On a side note, through the powers of Facebook, I discovered my college roommate was vacationing in Key West, and we were able to meet after the crawl at the Flying Monkey for 3 hours and caught up on 25 years of life and family! In Freeport we did the ATV ride, which was a blast with a fun group from the ship. We met some great people here! The Garden of the Groves, through no fault of Carnival, needs help. The restaurant there took over an hour to get our food, which we had to eat on the run as our van had to leave to pick up the next group. We had no time to walk around and enjoy the Garden. Perhaps Carnival could help or convince owner to staff better on excursion days??? In Nassau we went to private island, which was beautiful! Wasn't extremely private, probably 300 - 400 people, but the beach and water was fantastic! Back on the ship, we loved the Cowboy comedian, he was hilarious and politically incorrect! The Carnival singers and dancers in the opening show were a little lame, but this isn't Vegas or a top name act. We played trivia, bingo, spent most of our ship time on the wonderful Serenity Deck. Would recommend a few more pillows for the loungers, but not a big deal. We met a few college Spring Breakers, and they all were very fun, polite and we'll behaved! The only real negative, was Carnival's handling of the annoying smokers next door to our aft balcony room. We called security twice, took pics, then had to call security two more times. We loved our aft balcony room (more on that in the cabin review below) but because we were shielded from the wind, the nasty nicotine was horrible. The only thing worse was the behavior of our neighbors after the 4th call. I told security I wanted to observe their handling this time since the first 3 complaints and pics were not enough to stop the rule-breakers. When my neighbor saw me in the hall observing, he charged me and threatened me, then his wife threw hairbrush at me. 4 security people had to restrain him and his wife and the neighbor knocked off light fixture and mail holder by his door. I feel Carnival could have handled this differently. The first 2 complaints, we're handled by phone calls from housekeeping. Not until the 3rd and 4th calls was security involved. I also think for someone like this who was threatening and believes they are above the rules should have been sent to a low level interior room and traded with honeymooners who spent every dime they had to get an inside room. People who break rules and have no consequences continue to break rules. Other than this couple of rule-breakers, we had a FANTASTIC cruise!

Cabin Review

Aft-View Extended Balcony

Cabin 8M

Loved our aft balcony, room was plenty large with more than enough storage! Loved our balcony time out of the wind (except when rule-breakers next door were smoking) and we had some fantastic sunrise and sunset views, It was extremely quiet at the back of the ship. Stewards were fantastic, they and the servers work so hard! Please tip them well! They deserve every penny they earn and work sooo hard! Thanks for a great cruise!
