2nd time on the Liberty. Since we were with a party of 11 and 1/2 were either in college or had just graduated cost was a major factor. Embarkation was a breeze. Our cabin steward was excellent. The waitstaff in the main silver dining room were very nice and prompt. We traveled with a friend that is visually impaired and whenever he asked any Carnival staff for help they were always very helpful. We took inside staterooms. We have cruised many times and the inside rooms are the most quiet for sleeping.
The adult comedy shows were great. The stage shows were average for this type of cruise. The 24 hours pizza was great for a late night snack.
The ship was very clean for an older ship. The 2 stop snorkeling excursion on Grand Turk was just average and no "rum punch" a bland crew.
The cabin was fine. Clean and a great cabin steward. We tipped him extra for the great service.
We took a tour of the Bacardi Rum factory. We did the transportation on our own. We took the ferry for $1.00 then took a private taxi with 5 people for only $13.00. It was a very nice tour. Then after returning we walked around Old San Juan and shopped. Loved this stop.
Took a trip to Megans Bay with a private taxi $8.00 each way per person and a $4.00 entry to the beach. Well worth. We have done this before and will do it again. Then shopping near the port for the rest of the day.
Landed in Orlando and had www.goportcanaveral.com take care of everything. They did a great job of our pre-cruise hotel and all transportation. I would strongly recommend them for all your needs.
