This was our 4th cruise, our first on NCL. Although it was a smaller ship then we were used to, we found it quite nice. We departed from Tampa, our past cruises departed from Miami. Not much to see at the Tampa port, but the embarkation process was fast and smooth. We arrived at 10:30am and we were second in line to check-in. Then we waited about 30 minutes before we were allowed to board.
Once onboard we explored the ship for an hour, then went to the buffet for a bite to eat. We left the port at the exact time we were scheduled to leave and the fun began. Richard our cruise director was fantastic, my wife and I have found that the cruise director can make or break the cruise experience and Richard was top notch!! Loved Richard's stories!! All of the cruise entertainment staff were engaging, energetic, & fun!!
Tim Kaminski was the comedian on-board the ship. It turns out we bumped into him as we were boarding the ship and as we passed him he said "Welcome aboard, I am on the entertainment staff and I hope you have a great time" Well All I can say is, we saw all three of Tim's performances (all different) and would pay to see him again. What great shows!!
Cabin Review
Mid-Ship Balcony
Cabin size was fine, bathroom shower was a little small. Bed was very comfortable! Enough storage space for all that we brought. Only issue was on day 3 the drain to the shower backed up and water and black stuff came pouring out of the drain. We let service know and we left for our day. When we returned to the cabin later in the day we opened our cabin door and there was a huge blower on our room and the carpet was damp. We called service and they said yes the plumber fixed the drain and the blower was there to dry the carpet!! After several more calls they gave us a 100.00 OBC for our aggravation, why did it take several calls was my issue!
