Traveled with children

We cruised on 3-14-15 with our three grandchildren, ages 15, 12 and 9. We had connecting staterooms which worked out perfectly. Our granddaughter turned 15 on this trip and we had her room decorated. Great job! The room attendant also made animals with towels and it was so much fun to come back to our rooms at night and have these laying on our beds. The rooms were always kept clean with fresh towels and linens.

This was a first cruise for the children and they had a great time and were in complete awe of the Liberty of the Seas. Service aboard the ship was fantastic with the exception of Sorrento's pizza where we encountered a very unhappy server who should not be serving the public. I hated for my grandchildren to experience this. The dining room staff, Rollelo, Cynthia and our bar attendant, Nelson provided outstanding service. Rollelo was always entertaining the children with new tricks. They loved him!

We did zip lining and cave tubing with cavetubing.bz in Belize and the price was so much less than the cruise ship. We made it back in plenty of time to catch the tender. What a wonderful day and highly recommend them. In Cozumel we did a ship excursion to swim with the dolphins. the tour was handled very efficiently and this was a great experience and a fun day.

Cabin Review

Cabin Deluxe balcony

Cabins were clean and sufficient. We were in a cabin with our grandson and the only thing we did not like was the bed was a pull out from the wall and was right above our bed. Would have preferred a sofa bed for him as he had to climb a ladder to get into bed. We had a connecting room for our granddaughters which worked out very well. Bathrooms were very small but closet and drawer space was good.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

We stayed at the Hampton Inn Cruise Port North. Very nice hotel and great shuttle service to the cruise port. Cruise port very organized and went smoothly. Felt the hotel was over priced ($300 a night) but every hotel in the area seemed to be about the same if you wanted to stay near the cruise port.
