We love cruising and are very happy to be able to drive down to San Pedro and board a nice ship for a 7 night cruise. The Crown is a beautiful ship. We had an outside obstructed view cabin on deck 3 midship. It is a perfect location to be in- very convenient to everything on board. We especially enjoyed the coffee bar in the atrium, the entertainment which was outstanding, playing trivia, delicious pizza and soft ice cream readily available, and very friendly cruise director and staff. Our only disappointment was in the main dining room service. It is not polished like it used to be. Food is thrown at you and our service lacked the personalization we would have liked. We would recommend trying anytime dining. The one night we did it we had much better service.

We will definitely be making this cruise again. Even if you did not get off at the ports, you would enjoy the ship. There were so many activities we had to pick and choose.

Cabin Review

Oceanview

As stated above, our cabin was perfectly located on deck 3. This deck is convenient to activities, which are on decks 5 and 6 and 7.

Port Reviews

Los Angeles

we live in Los Angeles so it was not necessary to tour. But is is wonderful to just be able to drive down and leave our car at the port and be home in 30 minutes after leaving the ship.

Puerto Vallarta

This is a great walking port. We rode the city bus to the main part of town and then walked along the Malecon, right along the ocean. You can do a city tour very inexpensively.

Mazatlan

This is another great walking port. We followed the blue line route to the city central.

All along the route there are wonderful volunteers who will give advice and answer questions. They were very impressive. You also can ride in the open cabs very reasonably. It cost us $5 to ride it back to the ship from the Malecon. Be sure and check out the beautiful department store downtown.

Cabo San Lucas

Cabo is another great walking port. The tenders take you in and are easy and quick. You just need to walk in the harbor and enjoy the sites. There is lots of shopping and you can get good prizes for your purchases.
