After being excited about our upcoming cruise on such a large ship we were brought down to earth with a bang! The ship seemed to be overrun by so many unruly children, teenagers and young "adults". Before I go too far, there were a small amount of responsible parents who looked after their children and taught them manners. We were embarrassed for the crew that had to clean up after them. One day I asked an officer if this was normal for this ship and his answer was..."sadly Madam, it is normal for this ship". He then said to me "My Grandmother taught me that everyone can have an education, not everyone has breeding".

The smoking areas on the ship are so big, when the wind blows (always naturally), it is almost impossible to be on deck out of the smell of smoke. Because the doors are automatic opening doors they are often open bringing the smoke inside.

There is a serious lack of enough Dining staff, although the food is great, it was so hard to get water served to the table or toast to the breakfast table. The staff seem unhappy with very few smiles. Thankfully our table mates were lots of fun.

Cabin Review

Interior Stateroom

Cabin N

Our cabin steward Marilyn was a delight. She rearranged our bed on the first night. Our TA had booked Queen, even though we had asked for twin and meant we could only get into bed by crawling in from the end. We had a very wet spot in the centre of the carpet in he cabin. If walked on by accident the colour came out of the carpet and stained my white socks. The leak was coming up not down... It eventually dried out and they replaced a small square in the carpet. Nothing was an effort and we were always greeted with a smile. Every night there was a different towel animal on the bed.

Port Reviews

Sydney (Australia)

There is always plenty to do in Sydney starting with a very cheap trip on a ferry to anywhere around the fabulous harbour. Lunch or dinner at Doyle's at Watsons Bay is great.
