My daughters 21 & 14 and I, along with my younger daughter's friend thoroughly enjoyed the Norwegian Getaway! The Free Style Dinning was such a treat!!! The entertainment ("Burn the Floor" & Legally Blonde) was 1st class and we all adored the Cruise Director Joell and his staff, Jose', Sarah and Christine ! My daughters loved the dance parties hosted every night on the Spice H2O deck. Everyday was jam packed with numerous things to do and participate in....there were soooo many fun & entertaining events in the Atrium. The ports of call were just okay...St. Maarten in some places looked like a 3rd world country, but as we were told a huge hurricane blew through the island. The Castaway Girl Catamaran snorkel excursion in St. Thomas US Virgin Island was lots of fun despite the morning rain. Nassau was filthy!!! There is something for every age group. Only drawbacks were that my younger daughter and her friend tried to attend a few events at the teen club, "Entourage", but there were never enough kids, so quite a few the activities were cancelled. Also, the teens do not really have a pool area.

Norwegian's Free Style Dining was a hit with my family...we were not tied down to eating at the same place and the same time everyday! All of the restaurants were excellent and the staff was very attentive!!! The Tropicana Room had great nightly entertainment!!!

Getting on the ship was really easy...we arrived in Miami around 2:30-3:00 pm. I dropped off our luggage curb side and parked in garage C. The check in was quick! At the end of our trip we walked off with our luggage in had around 8:00-8:15 am...it took very little time to get off the ship. The parking cost was a tad high...$20.00 per day, but my car was safe.

Family Inside Stateroom

Cabin I2

Our room (although a little tight for 1 lady and 3 younger gals) was comfy, clean and enjoyable. Very good value! Our room attendant was lovely and extremely accommodating!!!

Port Reviews

Miami

Overnight parking is expensive $20.00 per day. $140 for the week, but my car was safe.

We did not take a Miami excursion...but I have been to South Beach...it is worth the trip down there just to see all the crazy sights

Nassau

Nassau was extremely dirty and crowded. This port needs a huge facelift!!! We went to Fat Tuesday at Nassau's "so called" beach. we should have gone to the other side of the town.
