We had been on Oasis last year and decided, because of a great discount, to go again. The entertainment is very good, service is exceptional but even though we are D+, I must be honest and say the food has gone down a notch. There are always choices and various restaurants but in order to get quality food you must pay for the specialty restaurants. We had never felt that way before until we went back to Princess last fall and realized they were superior in the food category. For some reason RCI now seems to think that dessert is Mousse, Mousse, and more Mousse out of a pastry bag, must be cheaper to serve than actually make decent desserts. Also, vegetables seem to be a premium, I got 2 brussel sprouts as my vegetable with my entree.

MTD was a little disorganized. Even though we had reservations which noted we would share with a large table , we were sitted at a table for 2 or maybe 6. The person that took us to our table never seemed to be able to find the table numbers, don't know if they switched the numbers without telling the staff. The waiters and asst. waiters always did a great job.

Our cabin steward was one of the best we have ever had and the cabin was spotless. The pool attendant did a great job of keeping the people who thought they could eat food by the beach pool away from the area. He actually followed through until they moved out of the pool area, nice to have someone that dedicated to his job.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D2

Balcony cabin on Oasis is a little smaller in this class of ships but adequate. There are only a few drawers and shelves but it works out OK.
