I'm a single college professor and went on this cruise as a spring break getaway, so I stayed in a studio cabin. It was a bit scary going alone and not knowing anyone, but by the time we had our first meeting in the Studio Lounge, I had become acquainted with several fun people. I had dinner with a group on the first night and made friends with some people who I hope to keep in touch with.

I love to travel and usually travel to Europe. I love that sort of travel for it's cultural and historical value, but there is a certain level of stress with catching trains, language barriers, etc. This cruise was such a relaxing and purely fun week that I can not wait to book my next cruise. I would definitely cruise with Norwegian again, especially as a solo cruiser. The daily 5:00 gatherings in the Studio lounge were always fun, and it was easy to find interesting people to talk to since everyone in the studio cabins were brave enough to cruise alone.

The food on the cruise was excellent, and I am a pretty harsh critic. No, they didn't serve lobster on seafood night, but that doesn't mean that the quality of what they served wasn't great. Room service and the buffet were particularly great for breakfast, but I preferred either of the main dining rooms for dinner. The Manhattan Room was especially nice for a good dinner atmosphere when the jazz band was playing. I tried getting a reservation for Le Bistro but never could get in, which was disappointing.

My studio cabin was perfect for me. I'm sure it's great to have a window or a balcony, but I like to sleep in a very dark room anyway. The layout was excellent, well-planned, and did not feel cramped at all. The bed was comfortable too! The location of the cabin was good. It was just 2 flights up to the buffet and sun deck, and the Studio Lounge was also convenient. My cabin steward (Jayson) was always very friendly and greeted me on the first day to show me different features of the cabin and answer any questions I had. I had several nice conversations with him when I passed him in the hall.
