We have been on this same ship and same cruise a few years ago and things have really slipped. This cruise was NOT very good in terms of service, food, activities, live music, entertainment, shows, tender services, or value. We will NOT be cruising on Carnival again.

We did a back-to-back cruise next on Princess and the difference was stark. Everything wrong on the Glory was great on the Caribbean Princess. The price was more that comparable as Carnival has hidden upcharges. For example, daily tips, wine, and drinks were higher on the Glory. There was NO $25.00 upcharge each at dinner for good steak or lobster. Princess had great food every night in the main dining rooms.

For younger cruises concerned about the older demographics on Princess, please take a close look at Princess or Royal Caribbean. We had a French Canadian couple in their twenties and a family with kids at our dinner table. All of them had a great time and really enjoyed the sports activities, food, live music, and shows. There was nothing on the Glory like the four venues with LIVE music and dancing every night on the Caribbean Princess. The disco/dance club on deck 18, Skywalkers, made the one on the Glory look like a dump.

Cabin Review

Our inside cabin that was poorly laid out, noisy, and poorly furnished. The bed was horrible and felt like it had not been replaced since we were on the ship a few years ago.
