EMBARKATION - We arrived shortly after 12. We drove and found the parking lot quite easily. Embarking took forever. Although the lines weren't long at check in, the line to board was extremely lengthy. The process took approximately 2 hours. And, then we were told we could not go to our cabin as it was not available as yet. It wasn't ready until an hour before we set sail.

CABIN - We were extremely disappointed in our cabin #11108. It was supposed to be a mini-suite but was extremely small with very little storage space. The cabin was cramped. The closet was large enough for only one person and there were hangers provided for 6 pieces of clothing. (This was difficult as there were two women sharing the cabin). The shelving was tucked behind the hanging clothes and difficult to reach. There were only 2 drawers in the whole cabin. Items were broken in the cabin which never got repaired during our whole trip., ie. Sink pop-up, lights burned out, etc. Our cabin boy was the worst I have ever encountered. He was rude and abrasive whenever we asked him for anything so we ended up avoiding him during the whole cruise. We were always running out of something and our cabin boy did not keep up with giving us clean towels, tissues, etc.

FOOD - It was marginal at best and left a lot to be desired. The buffet at the Market Cafe was very poor and the selection was not as good as other NCL ships I have been on in the past. We ate lunch in the Versailles room and that was like a fire drill. No one seemed to know what they should be doing. The food was very poor and many dishes had to be sent back. The Aqua dining room was not much better. The Blue Lagoon served a decent hamburger and Fish and Chips. We tried some of the upgraded restaurants. Cagney's. My steak was fine but my friend's steak was tough and tasteless. Asian Fusion - Not as good as the one on the NCL Jade. Didn't try the Sushi just the Chinese dishes which were just okay. Endless Summer - Just okay and not worth the cover charge. We ordered room service for breakfast only but only received fresh fruit, juice, bakery items and coffee. The service was always on time but they won't bring enough coffee unless you order for 4.

Mid-Ship Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MA

Tiny closet, no storage space. Just too small to be considered a mini suite. We heard banging from above all night long.
