Parking: Used EZ Cruise. Great, not one problem. Booked online, courteous personnel, great service. Embarkation: Great! We arrived at terminal about 11 am, got right through the line, and picked an available seat in the section that happened to board first. We were about the 20th person to board. We had to go to Pursers Desk on the ship and straighten out our Sign & Sail accounts. After Pursers Desk, it was on to the Lido Deck for Lunch Buffet. Yeah ... we were on our way !! Cabin: Good. E65, Empress Deck, the second cabin from the Atrium Elevators, or from the action. We were close to the Piano Bar on this deck and heard the piano a little at night, but it did not bother me. Our cabin steward and his team seemed to be under our beds, as they would come clean each time we left the cabin. We loved the turndown service at night with mints and towel animals. The cabin was always very clean and tidy. The shower area was the only con in the cabin area. The shower did not have a lip on it, so water would spread all over the floor even though Carnival kept a long towel wrapped up and in place trying to catch the water. The water would seep under or around the towel and go elsewhere in the bathroom. We kept down large towels on the floor to keep from falling. Dining: Outstanding. Our head waiter, Jaco, was from South Australia, and he and his team were very attentive to requests. The food in the dining room was better than the food on the Lido deck or the buffets. Once we discovered the food was better in the dining room, we rarely went anywhere else to eat. Everything was great, but I especially loved the Warm Chocolate Melting Cake. We ordered coffee from room service each morning, and a BLT on the 2 days we were in port for breakfast. The BLT was great! The water in the dining room was undrinkable to everyone at our table of 8; we even tried to put lemon slices in it to help; all to no avail. I was pleasantly surprised the coffee and tea on the ship was good since it has to come from the water. Entertainment: Exciting and wonderful. Excellent variety. We were too tired to go to all activities, but the shows we did go see were excellent. The Cruise Director, Steve Cassell, was entertaining himself. We got to see him play a mean fiddle in the Extreme Country show (you don't want to miss this), as well as he juggled another time and was all around fun. Debarkation: An area Carnival should improve. We debarked from the Empress level and this was announced to the ship. A lot of the other decks took the elevators or stairs to Empress deck and they pretended to be from the Empress deck. I had our cabin door open so I could hear the announcements and people peered in asking if they could use our restroom; you couldn't move on this deck there were so many people. When it came time for our deck to debark, my cabinmate and I could not move due to all the people and their luggage. If they had just stayed on their deck and waited their turn, it would have been much better. But we went with the flow. Customs was a breeze. Overall we had a great experience, and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Cabin 6E

E65 Empress. Adequate drawer and closet space. White robe for lounging awaited us. Only con is the shower had no lip on it so water went all over the bathroom floor.
