Just wanted to give you a review of my trip on NCL Pearl. We just got back yesterday and as I write this the floor is still moving, hehe. A quick background, my best friend and I are 30, and this is my 4th cruise and her 3rd, and our first cruise on NCL. Pre-cruise, I arrived in Miami on Saturday night, stayed at the Red roof in right by the airport. The hotel was pretty clean, and they offered a free shuttle to the airport and port.

Embarkation On Sunday, I went back to the airport to pick up BFF and headed to the port. We took a cab $24.00 for both of us. Once we got to the port at 11:15am, we went through embarkation which was really painless. It took us only about 15 minutes before we were on the boat and eating in the Garden Cafe. They weren't letting people to their rooms till 2, but we managed to get in around 1:15 by just asking a steward.

Ship: The Pearl is beautiful. I know it's a new ship but it is so clean. I found it interesting that they spray your hands before you go into any of the food areas, and there are hand sanitizing stations everywhere. It was weird at first, but got used to it. We did do the bowling on the ship (7.50 pp). It was a lot of fun and something I just had to try. Used the rock climbing wall a lot. The lounges are nice, especially the Bliss Lounge. The layout is pretty easy to get used to and I had no problems with this. Most decks go all the way through. Read more
