Sail Date: Nov 2008

Our cruise began November 16th, day after our wedding. We drove from South LA to Galveston, TX wondering what Hurricane Ike's wrath would've done to the island and the cruise docks. Good news, no interference and parking at EZ parking at $50 was perfect.

Having our itinerary and Fun Pass VIP pre-done, signing in was a breeze and only took 15 minutes at most, only because of the friendly attendant who provided us our sign and sail cards while chatting with us. After that, by-pass the lines of passengers waiting to board for a direct boarding to our room. Smooth boarding - better than expected. Since it was our honeymoon, I booked a cat. 11 suite with balcony and wasn't disappointed whatsoever! Waited for our luggage only approximately hour and half (after muster station orientation finished). Had my camera for some beautiful sunset photos as well as the dolphins racing the bow of a Chouest Offshore Supply boat. From there, let's eat and check out our new home of 7 days.

Since this whole experience was new to us, we spent lots of time checking out what the ship had to offer and this we did with enthusiasm. My wife and I run a publication while I also have full time job in the oilfield so this trip was the ultimate escape from the hustle bustle and monthly deadlines. A whole week of nothing buy her and I and a cruise was simply what the doctor ordered. So, our comments will not deal with any petty missteps of the ship or the petty character of the occasional rude passenger.

Cabin Review

Cabin 11

Perfect by our standards. Stewards were first class people and that made it all the better. Sorry, nothing to complain about.
