I was in this ship in October, It was the beginning of a great adventure (Kusadasi, Messina, Rome, Barcelona, Monaco, Gibralter, Cadiz), we got inside to the ship at Athens (port Piraeus). We got to the terminal on bus,the process was fast, if you made the check in online prior departure it is really fast (a picture of you and your keys) that's all. So when we got inside the ship it was early, so our room wasn't ready yet. So got direct to the lido deck and they have a table with snacks and the waiters waiting for you to get you something to drink. Later they open the restaurant, very impressive because is was the first day. A lot of food everywhere. The time to get our cabin, it was a verandah cabin with a balcony, the furniture was nice, but the they need to improve the balcony and inside of the bathroom almost everything is old and have some problems with the pipes, you can hear the water getting from one side to the other. The service to the room was excellent and they always try have you in the most comfortable way that they can. The time to explore the ship. The self-laundry room, the machine need to be changes, they are old, but do the work, you can use quarters or casino coins, very helpful in our stay. The pool and the hot tub needs to be fix, the hot tubs one day working others not and the pool have an old design and have broken tiles. They didn't have any activities at the pool area, incredible nothing there, it was very boring those days. The gym was tiny but OK. I didn't used the Spa but their workers were very friendly always with a smile in their face. The casino is the same, blackjack, craps, roulette, and machine everywhere. The library is very complete, the have computers with internet, table games, books, newspaper, etc... everything is in English nothing from other language. The piano bar if you like this type of music well you can enjoy it, a big man will sing a lot of music and he plays the piano well. the Crown nest is the discotheque it is open until 1:30 AM, first they have a band that only plays romantic music and old music. The DJ is a nice person but needs to improve the music, not all the people their are old ones, so you can get bored very fast and other thing is that they don't latin music. The main restaurant was excellent, the food, the service, they are very polite and helpful, if you dislike the food the will try to get you something. the shows that they do in this area are great. The stores at the ship, you know that you have to wait until the final days to get something with great discounts. The front desk was excellent, very helpful. The shore excursions, i recommend you to never bought a nothing from the ship, just got outside and you will get better price from the people there and of course you can go by your self using the public transportation system. So read the reviews of the ports before you get in a cruise, they are very helpful. Every port is different so be careful and never go alone, better is you go with a group. The area for the teen and younger people were closed, some fixing and painting in the area. My conclusions are that this ship is for the oldest one, people who have 50 or more, that wants to enjoy the final moments of their life, this ship is not for the complete family, the activities are poor and the little entertainment that they have there is for old people. This ship is for American seniors.
