SAT : Arrived in San Juan day in advance - It was raining when we arrived. We rented a car from Charlie car rentals (airport location) thanks to the advice from cruise critic. Charlie rentals came to the airport, picked us up and they even had umbrellas for us which was great. We stayed at the Radisson Ambassador hotel which I was a little concerned about even though we stayed there two years ago. It is now a smoke free, supposed to be, though I smelled smoke but hey, office vs. vacation......no brainer! Radisson is located in Condado and is walking distance to lots of restaurants.

Sun - embarkation day: DH and I took our car out for a mini-self tour on the Island. We originally made reservations for the SEGWAY tour. Rain stopped that.. NOTE: There is a Charlie Rental location in Condado on Ashford Ave. (just two doors down and across the street from Chili's) and if you get to them by 4:00pm on Sunday, you can drop off your car with them and they will take you to the Pan American port (for FREE).

At Port: Got there at 4:30pm. The lines were just unbelievable. Fortunately when we arrived there were porters at the end of the long lines taking bags right away and so we did not have to lug our bags while standing in line like so many others.
