This was my families first cruise, it was my 17 year old sons graduation trip, first off, when we got to port canaveral, wow, just the size of the mariner is amazing, could not wait to get aboard. getting on board was so easy, we headed up to windjammer and had our first taste of the ships food, all i can say is it was great, and sooooooo much food, something for everyone. We finally got into our cabin, deck six, balcony room, we had plenty of space for 2 adults and l 17 year old, his bed came out of the ceiling and he said it was very comfortable. Sunday and monday at sea was a little overcast due to a system, but we had a blast anyway, soooo much to do,.
We arrived in Labadee on Tuesday, what a beautiful place, could not get enough of it, we snorkeled on our own as we brought our own snorkeling equipment, it was very pretty, my son went to the blow up play area and he has alot of fun, the sun was out and we got sunburned the bbq lunch the ship provided was delicious.
Coming into the different ports was breath taking, we stood on our balcony everytime and took pics, the next port was ocho rios, jamaica, we had arranged to do the whitewater tubing, if you can find the tour driver named "professor" get him, what a hoot!!! the ride up the mountain is a ride in itself. the river was a little cold, but we had such a good time, our guides were great, picked up little things to take home, this is the only place the people were aggressive, but a firm no took care of it.
Everything was excellent!!!!
