My husband and I are in our mid-50's. This was our 8th cruise. We cruised Holland American about 7 years ago and it was fine but it was only our second cruise. Now we are seasoned cruisers and this cruise, while not horrible was not one of our best cruises.

We arrived the night before in Fort Lauderdale and arrived at the cruise port around 2PM. Long, long lines and while they moved rather quickly, Royal Caribbean does a much better job of checking people in. We had done our paperwork ahead of time on the internet but it still took a long time.

Once on board, no one greets you and shows you to your room, you find it on your own. The stateroom was fine - nothing special.
