The Glory is a great ship! Our oceanview cabin #1244 was great! Our cabin steward So was really wonderful! He always went out of his way to help us! Anything you need you just have to ask! Once we learned our way around the ship it was easy to get from bow to stern. Just always use the elevators for the dining rooms at the end they are on. The food in the dining room was great! Our head waiter KU was great! The soups were wonderful, steaks and seafood were perfect. The best dessert was the Amaretto cake. The Chocolate Melting cake was good too with ice cream. The Buffet was pretty good too, nice selections and fresh fruit and salads. I had to have a frozen yogurt cone every night! So Yummy! The shows were great! The Motown singer Marcus was really good, we met him in St Thomas as he got in a taxi with us, very nice guy! The Glory Dancers are very talented and do other things like teach dance class(Cameron was doing a dance to Thriller) and Bingo. Butch the Cruise Director is the best! He has lot's of energy and gets the crowds going. He sent us a bottle of champagne for our birthdays (my cousin and myself were celebrating a milestone B-day). Just send him a note when you are on the ship and he will read it on his morning show and usually send you a gift of some kind if you are celebrating an event. He also brought me up on stage before the Marriage Show, it was fun. The weather was great-80's. The ports of call: Bahama's, St Thomas and St Maarten were beautiful. We did a tour in St Maarten with Bernard's Tours. He took us to beaches, shopping, points of interest. He took us to Mayo beach to watch the planes come in over the beach, that was great! It was only $30 per person. He is a really good guide. Due to a medical emergency with a crew member we had to stop in Puerto Rico. She was air lifted by helicopter to the hospital. We got an extra day of cruising. We were not going to get back to home port until late in the afternoon so many people were going to miss their flights home. I booked my cruise and air with Carnival so it was all taken care of for us(they put us up in a hotel for the night, gave us $30 each for dinner and we flew out on Sunday), others who did not, had to scramble to get flights, the lines were long to get on the internet and try to get a phone line. Lesson-Have Carnival do both cruise and air. They will take care of anything that goes wrong. They tried to do their best to help people at the Pursers desk. It was pretty chaotic. All in all it was the best! Great ship! Great Cruise! Hope to cruise again soon and it will be with Carnival.
