Sail Date: Oct 2008

I am speaking for most of the 156 Americans on this trip who shared the Sea Princess with 1750 British cruisers. I understand from Princess reps that this itinerary (which began in Quebec or NYC, or Barbados, depending on your chosen port) usually targets the British market. The clientele was predominantly the over sixty group with few children and few younger couples. The food, entertainment and staff were all British influenced. I have cruised a fair amount but I have never seen a cruise with so many people crowded around on the decks, in the casino, in the bars and even in the theatres before the shows READING. The nightclub, Razzmatazz, was virtually unused all week!

The ship is pretty, the rooms smallish (mine was an inside cabin) but well arranged and very comfortable. The staff is amazing and go overboard to meet passenger needs. The food was excellent in the Horizon Court and in the poolside restaurant. We never made it to the formal dining room. The entertainment was excellent. The theatres were full each night.

We were onboard for ten days and that was enough for us since it started with three days at sea from NYC and we didn't find enough activity to keep us entertained. The "Movies Under the Stars" selections were either soccer matches (British teams, of course) or, for some reason, children's movies although we never saw more than five-ten kids in the pool area at one time.

Cabin Review

Cabin n

LOTS of storage, at the stern of the ship, on the floor with the casino and pizza restaurant, one floor above the two theatres.
