We took the Carnival Legend out of Tampa on October 26th with a group of 24 people - family and friends. Overall, we enjoyed the trip - there were a few problems with it. We took Carnival a few years ago on the Pride, but all of us felt that the level of service from Carnival has gone down - it wasn't quite the same as what we got on the Pride.

The overall theme of the cruise was RAIN. The first couple of days were nice, then the seas started getting rougher and the rain started. It rained in every port, and almost every night. They closed the roof on one of the pools on the Lido deck on (I think) the 4th day, and kept it closed for the remainder of the trip.

Embarkation was really smooth. We got to the port around 1:00 or so. My wife and I went over to Cold Stone Creamery in the mall next door to get ice cream - really good! We were on the ship by about 2:30, and we got all our luggage before about 7. We were on deck for the passage under the Sunshine Skyway bridge - it felt really close!
