New York City

It was my wife and my first time in New York. We flew in on Friday morning for a Saturday afternoon cruise. We arrived at JFK airport and took the subway downtown to our hotel. The airtrain leaves JFK airport and connects you to the subway. It cost $5 per person and is clean and easy to use. It takes about 15 minutes to get to the subway station from the airport. We were staying at the Michelangelo hotel on 51st and 7th ave so we took the airtrain north from JFK to Jamaica-Sutphin Blvd Station where we switched to the E train heading into Manhattan. The train was easy to find but bringing our luggage was a bit of a drag. It only took about 1hour and 15 minutes to get into Manhattan from the airport and cost $7 per person including the $5 for the airtrain. I would recommend taking the subway only if you do not have much luggage.

The Michelangelo hotel was wonderful. We booked from their website and got a rate of $295 which for a 4 star hotel in times square is a very good price.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Inside

Cabin IA

Nice location 2 floors below buffet. Near middle of the ship so less rocking in nasty weather. Small room but well layed out. Could hear some noise from the staff moving in behind the room at times but it was not too bad.
