We took a Princess charter bus from Baltimore right to the Brooklyn terminal for only $70 per, roundtrip. We departed Brooklyn Harbor with only a 15 minute delay. Beautiful view of NYC skyline, including the Statue of Liberty.

This was a seven day cruise to New England and Canada. There was a sickness scare and 100 or so passengers were ill for a few days. Luckily, we weren't one of them. The ship took all necessary precautions to minimize problems. The stop at Bar Harbor, Maine was cancelled due to rough seas. There were a few nights where the ship was really rocking. The passengers were generally older and there weren't many children on board. All the passengers were very sociable and friendly. It added to the enjoyment of the cruise. The variety of excursions was nice but a bit over priced. You have to do the jetboat ride in St. John. I booked it directly and took a $8 cab there and saved quite a bit of money vs. the tour. I wish we had more time in Boston. You need to see Peggy's Cove in Halifax. It's about an hour's ride from the terminal. You have to see the mansions in Newport, including The Breakers.

Disembarking was a bit delayed in Brooklyn but not a huge deal The Caribbean Princess is a huge, clean and beautiful ship. She is being updated/modernized this January. The layout of the decks is a little confusing, but all ships take awhile before you figure them out. The public areas were very large and beautiful. The bars, etc were great. The casino was huge and had an open layout. The dining rooms were large and had a nice decor. The Princess Theater was beautiful and there was no problem getting a seat. The Lido deck areas were nice and spacious. Movie Under the Stars deck is a neat theater setup. They provide blankets and popcorn :) The workout area and spa areas were huge with every amenity possible.

Cabin Review

Cabin II

Our inside stateroom was very nice and clean. We had a great room steward. Ask for an egg crate bed covering and get the free robes for your stay. Take an alarm clock.
