Sail Date: Oct 2008

After 22 years in the air force my hubby doesn't do holidays very well. Long periods away from home etc, now he's a homebird but me, I love to travel so usually go on my own. So it came as a great surprise to him when he returned home from work on December 28th 2007 to be told - 'We're going on a cruise in October, its all booked'. After an internal wait the date finally arrived. We flew from Stansted to Palma, a journey a little under 2 hours, walked through the formalities such as they were in Palma, met by the Thompson Reps, put on the coach, checked in at the port - smile please for the camera and we were on the Thompson Spirit. Our luggage was about 10 minutes behind us.

We freshened up and explored, found the Lido and had dinner, went out onto the deck for the party and watched the beautiful cathedral disappear.

We too found that we had gone to the 'wrong' entrance at the Broadway for the Captains cocktail party, no one told us otherwise but we worked it out ourselves. It was lovely to get 'dressed' up and our dinner company were wonderful.
