We just returned yesterday (10/19) from our cruise on the Pride. Both my husband and I have cruised on Carnival before. My husband had cruised on the Holiday, and I cruised on the Carnival Destiny.

We booked this cruise over the Memorial Day holiday weekend while we were lodging on the Queen Mary for 3 days/2 nights. Prior to our trip to the Queen Mary we had discussed taking a cruise, but were concerned how the kids would like being on a ship. We used our 3 day/2 night trip to the Queen Mary as an experiment to find out if our children would enjoy a cruise.

Our family had so much fun on the Queen Mary we couldn't wait to book our cruise, so I booked the cruise while in Long Beach at the Queen Mary. I had already done some research on cruises in close proximity to our home so we wouldn't have to fly. Since we live only 2 hours north of Long Beach, the Carnival Pride was convenient. It was an especially nice treat to be on the Queen Mary booked on the Pride and see the Pride arrive in Port next to the Queen Mary. I was able to get great photos of my kids on the Queen Mary with the Pride in the background.

Cabin Review

Cabin 11

Good midship location. Smaller than expected, but nice. Bathroom had double sinks and a Jacuzzi tub. Balcony with great views.
