On September 11 2005 my wife and I embarked on our first ever cruise. We left Vancouver Canada for a seven day round trip to Alaska. We chose Royal Caribbean's recently launched "Serenade Of The Seas" This vacation experience was so moving that we became "Hooked" on cruising.
In that Alaska had been our "Newbie" cruise experience, we felt that perhaps we had missed something. So, on Friday September 12 2008 we flew out of Toronto International Airport on our first leg of what was to become our "BEST CRUISE YET"
The 2005 experience on Serenade of the Seas had been so enjoyable that we felt we owed it to ourselves to do the same trip, same week, same ship, and compare to see whether our first cruise had really been as "Amazing" as we remembered it to have been.
Cabin 8594 is the most central Balcony cabin on deck 8. It is normal "Balcony cabin" size with nice sized closet, well laid out with curtain between door and bed area. The safe is neatly stashed in a cupboard.
Bathroom is small but very functuional. Shower has a glass door and so one does not have to pull the shower curtain off themselves.
This cabin was very quiet. Absolutely the best of any cruise I have taken.
It was next to the centrum lobby and stairs and so very convenient.
Even in rougher water there was no real movement felt here.
