We flew in to Boston prior to sailing. We stayed at the Omni Parker House. This is a beautiful property and we had a great stay. The room was a junior suite and boy was it sweet. The hotel has undergone a facelift and our room was all fresh and clean. The bedding and bed so comfortable. THe service was grand. The food and drinks wonderful. We walked to Cheers (the original) and had a delicious lunch. I recommend. I look forward in going back to Boston for a more lengthy stay to see more of the city and history.

We took a short taxi ride to the Falcon Cruise Terminal. Boarding the ship was very simple. It took probably a total of 20 minutes. We explored the ship a little and had lunch in the Windjammer.

This was our fist time sailing on RCL. We have sailed with Princess, Celebrity, Norwegian, Holland America and Carnival. I found the Jewel to be very beautiful and clean. This cruise was definitely for a older crowd. I saw few children and no teenagers. Of course, the would (or should) be in school. I really think the itinerary fit the older cruiser.
