We just returned from our cruise. This was our third with Royal Caribbean and our 5th cruise overall. Let me start by saying no cruise can be a bad cruise and this was good just not great.

Embarkation was smooth. The bus trip to the port was okay. The Doubletree @ Orlando was not the fanciest hotel and rooms were okay. We ate @ Carmela's Italian Restaurant and the food was great. So much for embarkation.

The first night on the cruise was great. We met our tablemates and we all were very compatible. Our waiter and assistant as always were great. The head waiter was as good or better than any we have had. With that said the food portions were good. The selection has been narrowed some but is still large enough to suit most pallets. The first show was good. The Cruise Director is good at best. He was very impersonal and talked fast like he should be selling Ginzoo Knives on Q.V.C. He did however do a good job with The Newlywed Game and The Quest. The things we noticed on the first night was the ship was uncomfortably warm is most gathering places. Not 80 degrees but not 70 either. It felt more like 74 or so. All and all it was a very good beginning. Our Room Steward Dale was spectacular.
