Embarkation - We arrived at Long Beach around 12:30pm after getting a little lost. We parked our car ($12 per day = $84 for a week so have someone drop you off to save yourself the parking fee) and proceeded to check in. There was a mass of people and it took a while to find the correct line. It was like getting in line to get into another line. I think they can do a better job at embarkation because it took us around 2hrs to get onto the boat. By this time I was starving since you're in line during the lunch hour and sometimes in the sun. My advice would be to bring something to munch on while standing in line plus hat and sunglasses...you'll be less cranky :)

Cabin - We got a balcony room toward the back of the ship right underneath the Lido deck. The views from the balcony was gorgeous and I loved just sitting out there. You can use the chairs that they have out on the balcony to prop open your door. The bathroom was an ok size and so was the room. However my bf thought the room was a little small (I'm 5'2" while he's 5'11" so our perspectives are a little different when it comes to room size) Our room steward cleaned the room twice a day and left a towel animal for us. One drawback was since we were right underneath the deck we heard a lot of footsteps, music (only the low thumping bass), and people dragging stuff up above. I also do not like AC being on full blast and did not like the fact that the AC was constantly on in the room and could not be turned off.

Food - Our waiter and his assistant were the best. Our waiter was Kiswanto and he knew which foods were good that day and made good recommendations. He was always smiling and made our dining experience wonderful. The food was ok and some days it was a hit or miss. The buffet food was standard Las Vegas buffet food. Never tried the supper club although I heard it was pretty good. Entertainment - I think this area they can improve upon. The first production show they had was not entertaining at all. I felt like I was on It's a Small World ride at Disneyland. Jerome was pretty good and people lined up for his adult show so get there early to get a seat. There was also a violinist who played for one of the shows and he was really good. The Carnival Legends show was also fun to watch since your fellow cruisers performed. Other than those 3 shows, the others were subpar. The cruise director, Jeff Bronson, was very cheesy and reminded me of a badly done Austin Powers impersonation. The deck party they had on Tuesday night was pretty much dead until Lawrence from Jamaica came...he was pretty much the life of the party wherever he was.
