We arrived in NYC 3 days prior to boarding ship on 9/28/08. We stayed at the Comfort Inn Times Square at 39th St. and 9th Ave. The rooms were small but very clean. The staff was very nice and friendly. Area around hotel is run down but we never felt unsafe.

Embarkation arrived early via car service at Red Hook Terminal. We checked in at 11 AM and were aboard within 10-15 minutes. Cabin was ready so we dropped off our carry ons and went exploring. Luggage arrived within 2 hours. Met our cabin stewardess, Chanukah. She was friendly and helpful without being intrusive.

Sailing loved our balcony cabin on the starboard side of ship. We had great views of the Statue of Liberty and the bridge as we sailed under it.

Cabin Review

Baja 727lots of closet space and drawers; quiet location; balcony more than adequate for a cruise ship.
