Mexican Riviera Carnival Pride 9/21/08

We flew into Los Angeles a couple days early, and stayed at the Anaheim Plaza Resort across from Disneyland for one night. It is right across the street from the main entrance to Disneyland, and it is only $60.00. This is a great deal for the location. We have stayed there before, so was familiar with the motel. I highly recommend this.

On Saturday night we stayed at the Queen Mary Hotel right next to the Carnival dock. When you stay here, you get early boarding. We had our sail and sign card at 9:15 in the morning, and were told to go to Zone 1 around 11:00 that morning. The boarding process in Long Beach is by far the worst I have ever experienced. We didn't start boarding, and we were in priority boarding, until 12:15. The disembarkation is even worse than embarkation. Not sure why this port is consistently like this, but it is. This was my second cruise out of this port, and I am not impressed with it. With that said, we boarded The Pride, and was eating on the Lido at 12:30.
