I am taking the time to write this review to offset some of scathing reviews I have read on here! Bottom line...we had a fabulous vacation and you will too. Alaska is gorgeous and the cruise line was above average.

I am 30 and went on the cruise with my 35 yr old husband, 2 yr old daughter and both sets of grandparents. We travel extensively and have cruised disney and royal caribbean. Comparatively, the ship and food on ncl were much better than the other cruise lines, but the service was not as exceptional.

The greatest positive for our family was the flexible dining. We ate at the garden cafe, indigo, summer palace, teppanyaki, le bistro, la cucina, blue lagoon and mambos. The free restaurants served the average cruise fare- good food but mass produced and not great if you are a foody, but we found the cover charge restaurants to be well worth the money and dining experience. We felt like Teppanyaki and le bistro were very good for cruise restaurants. It was also not that hard to get reservations, you just have to be flexible, yes it is busy at 7 pm but later or earlier was always available. We also thought that garden cafe which is the main buffet area was very good as compared to other cruise lines. There was good variety of fresh good food all the time. All the restaurants are beautiful inside, as is the entire ship. It still very new and everything looks great!
