Embarkation from the Port of Seattle was very good, a representative took us up to the VIP lounge where they processed you and gave out room keys. We were then escorted aboard the ship and told we could go have lunch at Cagney's Steakhouse which is open for Suite guess only (breakfast & lunches). After lunch we walked back to the suite and got settled in, our bags showed up sometime later (no lone rang the door bell, we just found our bags sitting in the hall around 3 p.m.). Our bags were all there and only a case of water was missing (use one of your NCL luggage tags on a case of water purchased in Seattle if you don't want to buy water on board). Our butler finally found the water and brought it buy later in the afternoon.

Room review, well everyone is trying to save money due to fuel cost but we were very shocked to find that NCL has told the room stewards to only change your bedsheets once during a 7 day cruise. We are from the tropics and were not used the the water and we both perspire some while sleeping, on the 2nd morning I asked the steward to change our sheets every day and refresh the shampoo, conditioner and soap each day. One day we left the ship around 1130 a.m for a shore tour so I called to make sure the porters made up our room. We got back aboard ship around 4:30 p.m and the room was just like we left it including the breakfast dishes. After several phone calls and visit from the Head Steward, Assistant Manager and Housekeeping Manager our room got re-set but again no clean sheets and replenishment of the bathroom supplies. Not what I would expect for a suite that cost $6k. So unless you like sleeping in the same sheets every night make sure you tell the Stewards and then call the Head Steward to insist that your sheets get changed daily.

Butler - was nice buy always seemed a bit tired and not overly chatty. The evening snacks that are delivered by the butler to your suite have been downgraded to a few crackers and 6 pieces of cheese, a few and I mean few celery - carrot sticks, chocolate covered strawberry's and other similar "Costco, Sam's Club" low end junk snacks. Last year on the Star you got finger sandwiches, and very high end hors d'oeuvres that were done by a Chef, and each night was really a supreme treat, on the Pearl it's more like the high school kid outdoors stopped by to watch the ballgame and stopped at 7-11 on the way. Very disappointing.

Cabin SF

Excellent cabin if you want to do any photography as you are out of the wind and rain and when they visit the glaciers the rear of the ship turns so you have a good view of the glaciers. A very small amount of noise from the crew ladder way that is next door to the room, but usually only when they are cleaning rooms. My sleep was never disturbed.
