This was the 2nd cruise that I have been on with NCL. The first cruise was thru the Hawaiian islands on the NCLA's ship "Pride of Aloha"...

Prior to sailing, I was an ardent reviewer of all the previous reviewers who wrote of their experiences on the "Norwegian Sun"...I must say that the trip was actually better than I expected!! Our departure point was Vancouver...we flew in a day early just to see the city & in case if anything might of gone wrong...which it did (our part!!), checked into the airport 5 minutes late for international departures...no worries just a bit stressful...but United Airlines put us on the next flight in 1st class so it was a blessing in disguise. On embarkation day, we were able to drop off our rental car right there in the cruise terminal in Vancouver, then go up one flight of stairs and we were right there at the check-in point. Within an hour we were all thru security & customs and standing on our balcony with a view of the Vancouver harbor. Very efficient efforts to get everyone thru with minimal effort.

The cruise staff were very professional. Everyone greeted us with a "good morning" or "good night". We had towel animals on our bed every night...very cute!!
