I have gone on many cruises, this one with my daughter.(21 yrs)When we first arrived at the port in Miami,i thought it took a little long to start boarding but once they finally started,it went smoothly.
Our room was ready when we arrived onboard,so that was a big plus.We received our luggage within an hour...nice.I thought the room seemed a little small but proved to have plenty of closet/drawer space and we really enjoyed our balcony!!!:)
Lunch was being served which was ok...typical ...burgers,hotdogs,chicken,etc(which is served all 7 days)on lido deck by the pool..there are other options on the ship though.Pools and spa's were clean and fresh,as well as the slide.
Our room steward was great...never had to ask for anything.Wait staff in dining room was excellent although not much interaction(most of the time they seem to like their jobs)This one just seemed all business...not very entertaining.
Entertainment was good...had a great variety.
Enjoyed the eagles lounge...beautiful room ...relaxing
We didn't take any tours through Carnival(never do)but if you go to Belize, you MUST go cavetubing...that was a great trip!!!
Valor has a new cruise director,Chris. He'seems to enjoy the job and even joined the other entertainers in the show on the last night... Most all the entertainers seemed friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs.
The really only complaint on this ship is the layout. Our room was in the front of the ship and we were assigned to the dining room at the very back of the ship and then all the shows were held in the very front of the ship...Lots of walking,,,,,,,,whew!!!
Disembarkation was horrible...very unorganized and crowed hall ways.It was taking anywhere between 1.5-3 hrs to get off the ship.
