I am a huge disney fan, I live in Central, FL, and have the priveledge of visiting Disney all the time. But I had never been on a Disney Cruise. I booked my trip a month before departure on a whim. I am a single mother of a 4 year old daughter, and not been on a vacation since she was born. I wanted to go on a vacation where I knew my daughter would have fun, and I wouldn't have to worry about anything but me and my daughter bonding. I had so many concerns - things as silly as would my daughter be able to hold her own plate at the buffet. Check in was so easy, and when they called out our name upon entering the ship, I knew my experience would be wonderful. We headed straight to Parrot Cay, and the staff was so empathatic to me being myself with my daughter, they were very attentive. Once we were able to get into our cabin - a standard inside, I was pleasantly surprised, as I had been on several different cruiselines, and this was by far the most spacious cabin. We immediately went to the pool, and my daughter made friends immediately. The bon voyage party was very fun. Our first dinner at Triton's however, both my daughter and I became sea sick. We both became so sick, we only made it as far as ordering, and needed to leave. 5 minutes after heading to our cabin, there was a knock on the door. It was our head server, he had brought our food upstairs to our room. I was floored. The next day we arrived at the Bahamas. I had booked an excursion for daughter and myself to swim with the dolphins. It was pricey but totally the worth the money. That night we felt much better, and actually made it thru dinner. The pirate party was so much fun, except I was so tired, I thought I would pass out. Food - not great. Both my daughter and I were starving by Sunday. Pictures - the photographers will take pictures every chance they get. And your photo will be up to purchase - but it is really expensive. So be prepared. Shows - We were so busy, we didn't get a chance to see any of the shows. 3 days is just too short to do everything. Childcare - this is what your paying for. My daughter has been in school since she was 1, so she is very acclimated. She loved it, so much so, everytime I would try to pick her up, she sent me away. The staff felt sorry for me, and suggested I go to the spa:) There was a different activity every hour, so she was in heaven. Cleanliness - every restaurant you were required to clean your hands with hand sanitizer. No germs were being passed around.

All in all, for a single parent who does not want to be worried about getting hit on, and just wants to feel safe while traveling with your child this is for you.

Cabin Review

Standard Inside Stateroom

Inside cabin, but spacious. Bathtub really helped with a 4 year old. Very clean.
