Prior to the trip we had completed the usual boarding paper work via the internet so the actual boarding process was very smooth and quick. They started boarding passengers at about 11 am. Lunch was available in the Lido. Our cabin was available as More advertised at 1 pm
The ship is beautiful and huge! Even with 2000 plus passengers we never had to wait long for anything nor did we feel "crowded." Lots of deck lounge chairs were always available. The crowd control during embarkation, shore excursions and debarkations was excellent. Members of the crew were universally efficient and friendly. The ship's library had lots books and DVDs.
Our cabin was large and had lots of storage space. The bathroom was the best we've ever had. It had two wash basins, jacuzzi tub and a separate shower stall. The veranda was large with comfortable furniture. Each night our cabin attendant left a different towel animal sculpture on our bed with the chocolates.
The food in the Lido was the best we've ever had on any ship's Lido. The food in the Pinnacle Grill was also excellent as it is on any of HAL's ships. The food selection and quality in the main Rembrandt dining room was only fair and not up to what we have learned to expect on HAL ships.
Cruise Specialists, our agent, provided complimentary cocktail receptions on board and also gave us a nice shore excursion in the Quebec City area. Less
