I was very disappointed with the condition of the Carnival Destiny.

I traveled with my Wife and 17 year old son. This was our 7th cruise on Carnival, but the first out of San Juan. We arrived into San Juan the day of our cruise and took a Taxi to the port, super simple and much cheaper ($23 for 3 people) than the Carnival shuttle ($45 for 3) Once we got to the port it was total chaos. There was no signs and no place to dump the luggage, just a line with about a thousand people in it standing with their luggage. I asked several people what was going on and they just said that they weren't sure, that they just got into the line because everyone else was... We finally made it to the terminal about 4 minutes later, dumped our luggage, went upstairs and got into another line of about 200 people to check in, which went pretty fast. Then proceeded on the gangway (which was a smokin hot box) waiting to get on board. We then went on to the Lido deck for Lunch.

We chose this cruise because of the itinerary, as we have never been to Barbados, St Lucia, St. Kitts, Antigua, or Dominica. All of the Islands were beautiful, we are not shoppers, so we took some tours and went snorkeling in most ports. We luckily missed several hurricanes during the whole 7 days.
