The overall cruise was great. The Captain did a great job of keeping us out of the effects of the storms around us.The service in all areas of the ship were great and the dinning room service by Carlos , Harold and Ida were exceptional.Every time we returned to the room the steward had been in and refreshed the room completely. The shows were excellent except for the last night. There are plenty of activities to choose from on the ship. There was a schedule of events left in the room every day that was valuable in making the best use of you day. There is someplace on the ship 24 hours a day to eat and drink.Alcoholic drinks are on par with a sports stadium or special event in price. There is a deal that was not made very well known, where you can pay one fee of $26 and receive all the coke type products you wanted for the entire trip. The food in the dinning room was overall excellent but we felt a notch below our last cruise ( also Carnival ).The quantity of food per serving was noticeably smaller but you are not limited to how many appetizers, entrees or deserts you can order. Our itinerary was changed due to the hurricanes in the Gulf and Caribbean. This sent us first to the Florida keys which we enjoyed very much but did not have time to set up any excursions. We could have spent several days there with so much to see and do.Our next stop was Cozumel which was nice in some areas, lots of shopping available and many excursions available both Carnival and independent. We did an excursion on our own to do the swim with the dolphins which was nice but found later a better option in Roatan. The shopping from a guys perspective was ,a lot of the same over and over. The prices are better the farther you get from the dock area. The third stop was Belize.I would highly recommend a Ship excursion due to the safety factor. The minute you step foot across the street from the tourist protected area we were mobbed by drug sellers and other questionable types.Anyone that did not get there fill of shopping in Cozumel could finish up in Belize with more of the same. Our final stop was by far my favorite,Roatan Island,Honduras. We had very little information on the island before our arrival. We took an independent tour with a company called Tropical Independent Tours. Our driver was Frankie Thomas and he did a terrific job of showing us all of the sights possible in the 2.5 hours we had.He stopped at any photo opportunities, shops, beach or any other point of interest that we wished. The people were very friendly and helpful every where we went. The ship docked for the shortest time at this stop which is a shame as I would trade in all my time in Belize to stay longer. We could have easily spent several days here doing things that we did not even know were available prior to our arrival.Great fishing is available on the west side just off shore at a very cheap price.Shopping here is different due to the items for sale are mostly native made items.Lots of Mahogany, shell and native stone items available along with sea shells and coral at dirt cheap prices. There is free parrot and monkey jungle, great swim with the dolphins, snuba, great open air on the water restaurants and much more to do.The view from some of the areas as you travel around is breathtaking.
